Advances in the technique of coronary intervention over the years have changed the management of patients with coronary artery disease, resulting in safer and more effective percutaneous revascularization in patients previously deemed at high risk for non-surgical approaches. Angiographic factors contributing to an untoward procedural outcome after coronary revascularization have been characterized, and a lesion complexity score has been developed. This is a review article.
