Caecum and urinary bladder as unusual contents of indirect inguinal hernia (sliding hernia) .

Inguinal hernias are the the most common hernias (up to 75% of the abdominal hernias). One of the rare entities, sliding type of inguinal hernia, that is diffi cult to diagnose preoperatively and its contents are surprising for the operating surgeon as the posterior wall of the sac is formed by the slipping of parietal peritoneum due to elongated mesentery. This is ac case reportof a 43 years old male with a huge right sided sliding hernia, as caecum, part of a ascending colon and urinary bladder, were forming the posterior wall of the sac.
