A study on clinical presentation of 118 cases of acute pyogenic meningitis in paediatrics age group.

The most dominant clinical features of thirty one admitted neonatal patient of acute pyogenic meningitis during one year study period were reluctance to feed, fever, irritability, where as other features were lethargy, drowziness, vomiting, and respiratory dysfunctions, bulging anterior fontanelle and seizures. Beyond neonatal age group the common clinical presentations were fever, irritability, neck stiffness, convulsions, vomiting, lethargy, drowziness, headache, reluctance to feed, cough, respiratory signs, bulged anterior fontanelle and photophobia.
