Acute gall bladder perforation in children having typhoid fever; a rare surgical entity: seldom diagnose preoperatively.

Acute gall bladder perforation in children is very rare. Acute cholecystitis is a rare complication of typhoid fever. We present an eight years old body who presented with fever, abdominal pain and abdominla distension. Abdominal examination revealed tens and tender abdomen. He underwent laparotomy and found to have a perforation at the fundus of gall bladder. Th e patient underwent cholecystectomy and had an uneventful recovery. Histopathology was consistent with typhoid perforation.
