Wolfram Syndrome: A Case Report.

Wolfram Syndrome is sometimes referred to as DIDMOAD (Diabetes insipidus, Diabetes mellitus, Optic atrophy, and Deafness). We report a case of Wolfram Syndrome, presented with a total duration of illness 3-4 years. His exagerated symptoms since 6 months were pain abdomen, excessive thirst, polyuria, unintentional weight loss, fatigue, lethargy, headache and irritability. Physical examination revealed thin lean boy with dry skin and mucosa, eyes appeared sunken. Weight and height both below 10th centile and prepubertal SMR(sexual maturity rating). Symptoms were suggestive of DM so we investigated on those lines. Blood sugar random was (BSR) 575 mg /dl but he was not in ketosis. Later on, he was also diagnosed for partial Diabetes insipidus.
