Pak J Health Jan ;35(3-4):89-95.

Samples of water from springs located in different parts of Pakistan especially in Potohar were collected and analyzed for their quality. The work describes in details the physical and chemical characteristics of these samples. The chemical analysis were done by standard methods using spectrophotometer, pH meter, conductometer etc. The Mulpiran mosque sample contains excessive salt contamination and was found to be unfit for drinking as well as for industrial purposes. Rest of the spring water samples were tit for drinking purposes as these did not exceed the WHO permissible limits, such as TDS, Alkalinity, Turbidity, Sulphates, Chloride, Magnesium, Calcium, Iron, Zinc, Copper, etc.
