Gastrointestinal Lymphomas - A Review.

Primary gastrointestinal lymphomas are a varied group of neoplasms that are not uncommon in Pakistan. They present interesting features regarding their geographical distribution, possible nature of their origin, being antigen driven and possibility that cure, in at least some of them, may be attained through treatment by antibiotics. They pose problems for the surgical pathologists regarding their diagnosis and classification and for the treating physicians regarding the selection of correct modalities of therapy. This article highlights the various gastrointestinal lymphomas, their clinical picture and various treatment modalities.
