Early experience with ankle arthroscopy.

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to report early experience in our local setting with this technique of ankle arthroscopy. Place and Duration of Study: Orthopaedic Department at Indus hospital karachi in 2010 & 11. Study Design: Case Series Patients and Methods: This is a case series and we report our experience with three patients. One patient had arthroscopy for treatment of osteochondral lesion of talus and 2 patients had arthroscope assisted arthrodeses of the ankle. Results: All patients had desired outcome with no complications, suggesting that arthroscopy of the ankle is a useful new modality in Orthopaedic surgery in our setting Conclusion: We can recommend that all Orthopaedic surgeons who are already performing arthroscopy of other joints should expand their skills to include the ankle joint as well.
