Tinea Pedis: An update on the therapeutic Options.
J Pak Assoc Derma Jan ;11(1):40-7.

Tinea Pedis is the most common form of superficial fungal infection. Dermatophytes are implicated in the majority of cases, whereas some non-dermatophytes are involved in patients living primarily in tropical and subtropical areas. It is more common in adult men and occlusive footwear is the most important underlying denominator. Topical therapy is considered in the early stage of the disease, while systemic options are reserved for recalcitrant and complicated cases. The present article reviews and provides a comprehensive update on the treatment options of this very common fungal infection.
