Perception of Children Regarding Doctor?s Appearance, Sensing Compassion and its Influence on Outcome of Treatment.

Objective: To study the perception of children regarding the attire, appearance and looks of pedriatcians. Background: When the patient is a child, the health provider should be more aware that many things have to be unfolded with a pleasant way. Talking gently and affectionately with them and more aware while coming to the conclusion that the child is suffering from. It is very important for a pediatrician to be compassionate with their patients in order to tackle with their fears to provide an effective and efficient treatment. Methods: This is a cross sectional sampling used in all Pediatric Units of Civil Hospital, Karachi consisting of questions asked by the data collectors Result: 100 patients were included. Their views about the appearance of pediatrics specialist were recorded. Conclusion: This is advisable that physicians should pay love and affection to the children so that they would admire positively and treatment be supplemented as per needed.
