An analysis of orthodontic patients treated during 2001 at Khyber College of Dentistry, Peshawar.

Two hundred and eighty-one patients with different dental and skeletal anomalies were checked and their treatment was carried out at Orthodontic Department of Khyber College of Dentistry in the year 2001. In this study the age group of 11-15 years was highly represented (43.1%). 46% patients had class I malocclusion followed by class II division I (26%). Pencil chewing was the most common habit (2.5%) in this studied group. 32.7% patients were treated by fixed appliances, while 16.9% were treated with expansion appliances.
