Eosinophilic Granuloma: A Case Report.

An 8-year-old female with known history of eosinophilic granuloma since 4 years was examined at King Saud University, College of Dentistry, Riyadh. Patient was on chemotherapy course of corticosteroids then, Methotroxtet Vinblastine and currently she was on Vinblastin steroid l mg/ml intravenously. The patient was given the chemotherapy periodically every 2-4 months since the symptoms of the disease is indolent, relapsing and remission period may occur spontaneously. Intra oral examination revealed generalized marginal gingivitis with localized periodontitis in areas of teeth #74 and #84 as well as multiple deep carious teeth Bitewing radiographic examination showed internal resorption of #84 and severe vertical bone resorption in area of teeth #74 and #84. Lateral skull radiograph revealed less bone density in multiple areas and `punched out appearance`. Radiolucent areas are in frontal, occipital and parietal bone ofthe skull.
