Comparison of Corneal Topography in Normal &Eyes with Keratoconus in Pakistani Population.
Ophthalmol Update Jan ;15(4):396-400.

Objective: To compare corneal topography in normaleyes and in those having keratoconus Study Design: Retrospective, comparative study. Place and duration: Dow University of Health Sciences, for a period of 7 months from January`17 to July `17. Patients and Methods:88 eyes of 52 patients were included in the study. 35 patients were normal and 17 were found to have keratoconus. Topography was done on Tomey topographer by non-contact method. The Ks (steep meridian)Kf(flat meridian) and AV k (average meridian) from anterior and posterior surfaces of the cornea were noted. They were then put in MS Excel and analyzed. Results: The Ks, Kf and Av K readings compared for the normal eyes and for the eyes with keratoconus had no significant difference. Conclusion: It appears safe to infer as there is no significant difference in the corneal parameters Ks, Kf and Av K in the eyes with keratoconus that both eyes are equally predisposed to develop keratoconus.
