Pak Armed Forces Med J Jan ;52(2):221-2.

A 6 months old baby was operated for congenital hydrocephalus. Two months later on routine follow up the baby was found to have a swelling measuring 9.7x 8 cm in size at the site of entry of the shunt into the abdomen above and to the right of umbilicus. On transillumination test shunt tube was found floating in the cyst. The shunt system was working and abdomen was soft. Baby was physically active for her age and was afebrile with no signs of obstruction. The shunt system was converted to ventriculo-atrial system. Swelling was opened and approximation of layers was done.
