Aim: Trends of Hepatitis B and C in General Public living in the Vicinity of M. Islam Medical College Gujranwala. Study Design: Cross-sectional observational study . Place: M. Islam Teaching Hospital, 2.5 km G.T. Road Gujranwala i.e., from 1-11-2016 to 20-03-2017. Methodology: 511 subjects included with age ranging from 16 to 75 years immunochromatographic rapid screening method used to detect HBsAg and Anti – HCV positive cases confirmed by Eliza. Results: 511 subjects screened for HBsAg and anti-HCV 16 were found positive for Hepatitis B and 108 for Hepatitis C, 02 cases were both Hepatitis B and C positive. Seven were at borderline. 3 out of 7 were confirmed positive by ELIZA for Anti-HCV. Conclusion: Dangerously rising trend for Hepatitis C was found and Hepatitis B seropositivity was comparable with other parts of country.
