Malnutrition is still a big problem in a country like ours, it was crucial for us to rule out the malpractices in the feeding regimen of the children in early years. Objective: To determine the Knowledge, Attitude and Practices of Breastfeeding and Weaning among Mothers of Children up to 2 Years of Age, Visiting Paediatrics Department, of Mayo Hospital Lahore. Methods: A cross sectional study was carried out in pediatrics department of Mayo Hospital Lahore. Total 100 mothers were selected by simple random sampling. . Mothers of any age whose children were of any gender but up to 2 years of age were included in this study. Data were collected through structured questionnaire and analyzed by SPSS 21.0 Results: The results showed that all the mothers interviewed were protagonists of breast feeding. 100% knew that breast milk is the best nutrition for their infants and all had an attitude that it should be the main medium of feeding for all babies. 92% started weaning at correct age. Conclusions: After a meticulous analysis of the results of our study it was concluded that mothers with higher degree of education had better knowledge regarding healthy nutrition and better feeding of their infants.
