Pak J Pathol Jan ;13(4):1-2.

The antiphospholipid syndrome is an acquired thrombotic disorder associated with circulating auto antibodies to anionic phospholipids-protein complexes. These antibodies were first detected as inhibitors of the partial thromboplastin time in patients with lupus erythematosus.
