Correlation of stress and blood glucose level in working women and house wives in Sindh, Pakistan.

The present study aimed to investigate the correlation of stress(how one cane measure level of stress) and blood glucose level of working women (school teachers) and non-working women (house wives). Age group of both the cases ranged between 25-40 years and both groups belonged to middle socio-economic status. Analysis of biochemical tests showed that blood sugar level was low in house wives as compared to school teachers. After calculation of environmental, psychological and physiological stresses, it has been observed that the level of stress in house wives was significantly higher as compared to school teachers.
