Effects of Managerial Competency on the Performance of Football Teams in Different Universities of Lahore.

The key set of managerial competencies which describes a good manager. Most of such organizations are not even giving the required attention to competencies in the organizations performance appraisal system. Objective: To determine the effects of managerial competency on performance of football teams in different universities of Lahore. Methods: Cross-Sectional study was conducted at four universities. Total 152 Football Players were selected through convenient sampling technique. Data were collected with the pretested questionnaires. SPSS version 23.0 was used for data analysis. Results: 17 Players were Disagree and were taking steps to resolve conflict, while 18 Players were strongly disagree,11Players were Disagree and then addresses & seeks to resolve formal and informal complaints from team members. 5 Players were strongly disagree,19 Players were Disagree and were then providing employment & development opportunities to foster a diverse workforce. Conclusions: Maximum Players of Football team were agreed with managerial competency with respect of competency parameters, among which they showed maximum agreements on the role of human resources management.
