Sixtynine patients received blunt trauma and thirty-seven had penetrating injuries. Forty-three patients had associated injuries to abdomen, head & neck, limbs and some had multiple injuries. Thirty-five patients were treated conservatively, chest intubation was done in seventy-one cases and thoracotomy was required in ten patients. Overall mortality was 6.6%.
