Prognostic factors in Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in adults.
J Pak Inst Med Sci Jan ;14(1):720-4.

This paper encompasses a study of 32 adult ALL cases who were treated at PIMS, over a period of 3-1/2 years. These patients included 16 cases of C-ALL, 9 cases of T-ALL and 7 case of Acute Undifferentiated Leukaemias (AUL). The treatment outcome (Complete Remission, Partial remission and Failure of Remission Induction) was correlated with certain prognostic factors. Bleeding manifestation, mediastinal mass, a white cell count >30x10e9/1 and T-ALL or AUL (as compared to common ALL types) were found to be statistically significal bad prognostic factors.
