Family Practice: need for more research.

Research is a quest for knowledge through diligent search or investigation or experimentation aimed at the discovery and interpretation of new knowledge, and can be regarded as a course of critical and scientific inquiry into a particular subject In other words, research is a systemic and organized effort to investigate a specific problem that needs a solution. By conducting research, we not only get new information about the subject but also accept or reject the preexisting knowledge and theories, draw more study questions, hypothesis, further suggestions and recommendation, and furthermore provide insight to develop or/and modify interventions, policies and programs accordingly. The practice of evidence based medicine, integrating individual clinical expertise with the best available external clinical evidence from systematic research, hence research is a basic component to practice evidence based medicine.
