Participatory Health Research (PHR) in Rural Punjab.
Mother & Child Jan ;38(2):61-7.

Health research methodologies have been polarised into quantitative and qualitative models. While recognising the contribution of quantitative techniques, this paper argues the significance of community participation in health research. In the context of rural communities of Punjab Province, participatory health research is deemed suitable for improving health of populations. At present, there is no major PHR works being carried out, but there are strong arguments in favor of using the PHR framework. PHR is a good option but will not succeed unless planned and implemented carefully.
