Endoscopic Polypectomy in Children with Colorectal Polyps.

Juvenile polyps are the most common non neoplastic polyps in our population, and are a common cause of rectal bleeding in children. 20 such patients underwent colonoscopic snare polypectomy on outdoor basis. The procedure was successful in 100% cases with no complications. Histopathological examination revealed that 90% were juvenile polyps. One patient had adenomatous polyp and another non specific inflammatory polyp.
