With this object in view Baqai University partnering the community and related professions, has established in a defined population, a multifaceted project which provides opportunities of education, agricultural improvement, water supply and minimizing gender disparity. This project is utilized for community orientation training of medical students. Effectiveness of the service delivery is monitored through health indices and focus group interviews and data analysis. Efficiency of students training is evaluated through a scoring system. Analysis of health indices shows a reduction of MMR from 9 toy and IMR from 100 to 45 during a six year period. Community perception shows a satisfaction level while evaluation of students in community health although their functioning with efficiency can only be determined by a followup study.
