To correlate the clinical picture with Computed Tomography scan findings in 200 cases of Stroke.

Objective: To study the accuracy of clinical data (history and physical examination) in distinguishing the ischaemic from haemorrhagic stroke. Study Design: A prospective cross sectional case control study. Patients and Methods: Two hundred patients male and female patients between ages of 16 to 85 years visiting CMH Lahore with acute neurological deficits were included in the study. Results: Out of 200 patients, 144 were males and 56 were females. One hundred seventy five patients were diagnosed as ischaemic and twenty five patients were diagnosed as hemorrhagic clinically. Conclusion(s): The males suffered from stroke more than females and ischemic stroke is more common than hemorrhagic stroke.
