Re: Re: Digital Dental Radigraphy

Dear Doctor
Various systems are available and the price range is from $ 4500 to $ 20000!. Really you don’t need to be an expert to use this system. All that is required is to attend a one day course on it. I may be doing that at 28th Asia Pacific Dental Congress 23-27 Feb at Karachi as well as at a meeting arranged by PDA. If you are interested, please e.mail me at munirahmad@on.aibn.com
Thanks

Re: Digital Dental Radigraphy

Dear Dr.Roshan
Thanks for your comments. I am using Schick's CDR since 1994. Originally it was based on CCD but they have improved it to CMOS. In fact it seems to me that without digital system, I cannot work anymore.
If you are interested to read more on this topic, please read my article "DIGITAL INTRA-ORAL RADIOLOGY: AN OVERVIEW OF THE CURRENT DIGITAL RADIOGRAPHIC TECHNOLOGIES AND MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH SCHICK’S CDR SYSTEM" in Pakistan Oral and Dental Journal, June (silver Jubilee)edition 2005. (It was accepted for publication but I have yet not received a copy of this issue).

With all the best and good luck for your future in dentistry.

Re: Digital Dental Radigraphy

Dr. Munir: It certainly is a time saver and allows reductions in radiation exposure to the patients. Are you using a digital system in your office? What one CCD/CMOS or PSP ? Which company?

In my opinion, for a dental office direct or CCD/CMOS are the best.
