Re: cervical scoliosis

The best approach for any corrective surgery for Scoliosis should be to monitor spontaneous EMG of the recurrent laryngeal nerves along with Spinal SSEP (Somatosensory Evoked Potentials) and TCeMEP (Tran Cranial electrical Motor Evoked Potentials).

This Neurophysiological Monitoring will add benefit by monitoring the Sensory (dorsal columns) and Motor pathways (lateral and ventral corticospinal tracts) of the spinal cord which are at risk during any corrective surgeries on the spinal cord.
