PakMediNet Discussion Forum : Biostatistics : How to adjust sample size with respect to age
How to adjust sample size when you want to stratify the study population?
For example if I want to calculate the sample size for the frequency of malaria in pediatric age group.

Your question is not clear. Do you mean that you want to do a study in children? If so, your sample size calculations will not change except that all your subjects will be children.

We have method to draw sample when popualtion is divided in groups tecnically called strata, stratified random sampling, most commonly used sampling technique is called stratified random sampling. further proportional allocation method is most commonly used method, other is Neyman method, thses are available almost in every book of Biostatistics.
