PakMediNet Discussion Forum : Obstetrics and Gynecology : More evidence against Elective C-Section
A new study from Moore et al's team in Australia (published in this months ADC)
http://adc.bmj.com/content/97/5/410.abstract
has shown that hospital admission from bronchiolitis is more common in infants delivered by elective C-section. Although the increase is slight, the data is significant and the numbers included in the study are considerable.
Given the fact that Gynecologists in our part of the World are much more likely to go for a C-Section rather than wait for an SVD, this study is particularly interesting.
What are the views of the Gynaecologists and Pediatricians on this ?
