Current consensus is Asmptomatic Gall stones should not be operated upon. Laprocscopy is good advancement but if it is so should we start taking out normal gall bladders too 'cos it would not be a big deal considering this minimally invasive technique? .

i think there is no such thing as asymptomatic gall stones
as the gb is diseased therefore the stones and many a times i have come across in operable cases of ca gall bladder who present for the first time with RHC pain so i recommend if you have found gall stones take the gb out or at least inform the patient of the progression of the disease
