hi dear!!!
actually you can only get an exemption from MRCOG-1,when you pass your FCPS-1 in gynae obs in first attempt.and the royal college of obs abd gynae have changed this rule of exemption of mrcog-1...there would be no exemption from mrcog-1 by the next year....so you have only one chance left to give the fcps-1 exam by this year and pass it in the first attempt.only then you will get the exemption from mrcog-1...
I HOPE THIS INFORMATION IS 4ENOUGH FOR YOU....
regards,
dr kiran.

Dear Dr Kiran,
I donot know what is the source of your information because i have never heard of the passing the exam in the first attempt thing so I believe this is not right , January 2007 is the year when exemption is ending.
For you Dr Samia there is one advice if you need to find some thing try first yourself try google or some other search and it will the best imformation you will get and secondly next time you will be better at thyat rather athan asking others for help.
Any ways here is the link for Royal College regulations:

The only limitation is if you have ever taken MRCOG part 1 and failed and than you cannot get exemption through FCPS I or anyother exam . In fellowship exams nobody counts attempts.
I hope this enformation is enough for you Dr Kiran

I passed primary exam of the West African College of surgeon in October, 2006. Am i still eligible for exemption from MRCOG part 1, since i passed my primary exam before the January, 2007 deadline (of cancellation of exemption)? If yes, how much is the exemption fee and method of application?

Dear friend!!! CPSP and Royal College has withdrawn the mutual agreement of equalization of MRCOG-1 and FCPS-1 (Gynae/Obs). So donot waste time and appear in MRCOG-1 if you want to go UK or else OR continue training for FCPS in Pakistan if you have to stay here. Best of Luck.
