Dear bils
since i have done my MBBS so i may not completely answer all of your questions but few comments/suggestions are as follows
1. Please visit web sites of Private as well as government dental colleges to get more information regarding the upper age limit. You can also write to them via letters( But i must commend you on getting into dentistry at this age........ and on a lighter note!!!!!!!! WOW now we have a MUNNA BHAI BDS in the making
2. Medical profession is not all about making money.it is a state of mind .... and as one of the great teachers of the past put it( sorry i couldnt recall the name)
TO BE A DOCTOR MEANS ACTING LIKE AN INTERMEDIARY BETWEEN MEN AND GOD....So please dont come into this profession just because of money alone.. because ther are thousands of millionares around who are not even graduate and cant even read a single page of an english newspaper.. But do they get the same amount of respect as a doctor... I think NOT
3. I am not sure what profession you are in, nowadays....... but before switching lanes think over it seriously
4. BDS means good quality working life , relatively stress free than MBBS and i must say...... better monetary benefits as well
But again some body who has done his BDS would be in a better position to comment
