test to be used Chi squareaoa! hope u will help me. in my study i have 2 groups among whom i have to compare the side-effects of the treatment so tell me, as side effects are expressed as frequecy, so if i have to calculate the p-value shld i use chi square test.

Re: test to be used Chi squareYou can use t-test to compare association between means of two variables while chi-square is used to compare proportions (percentages) between two groups. According to your data, the side effects will be expressed as percentages, so you can safely use chi-square or fischer exact test.
